Interested in joining Inverkeithing Competitive Amateur Swimmers?
Here’s how it works.
InCAS is a community-based swimming club that supports young swimmers as they develop confidence, technique, and a positive relationship with the sport. We welcome swimmers who enjoy being in the water and are ready to take the next step beyond swimming lessons.
Joining the club is a supportive, staged process designed to make sure swimming is the right fit for both the swimmer and the club.
Who InCAS Is For?
-
Children typically aged 5 and above
-
Swimmers with basic water confidence (able to swim a short distance unaided)
-
Those who enjoy structured sessions and learning new skills
-
Families who value a positive, inclusive club environment
InCAS is a training club, not a learn-to-swim programme. As swimmers progress through the squads, expectations around attendance, commitment, and attitude increase gradually and appropriately.
How the Joining Process Works
-
Submit a Join InCAS enquiry using the form below
-
We review availability and squad suitability
-
Your child is invited to a trial session (when space allows)
-
Feedback is provided after the trial
-
Membership is confirmed if the placement is right for everyone
Not all swimmers are placed immediately — and that’s okay. Our priority is ensuring a safe, positive experience that supports long-term enjoyment and development.
About Trial Sessions
Trial sessions are relaxed and supportive. Swimmers are not expected to race or perform under pressure.
Coaches will look at:
-
Water confidence and safety
-
Basic stroke ability
-
Willingness to listen and try
-
Suitability for the squad environment
Trials help us place swimmers where they’ll feel comfortable and able to progress.
