Volunteer With InCAS

InCAS is a volunteer-run club — and that’s something we’re proud of.

Behind every training session, gala, and swimmer milestone is a team of parents, coaches, and supporters who give their time to keep the club moving forward. Whether you can help occasionally or want to get more involved, there’s a place for you.

You don’t need a swimming background. You just need a willingness to support young people and be part of a positive team.

Ways You Can Get Involved

There are a variety of roles within the club, including:

  • Poolside helpers

  • Team managers at galas

  • Timekeepers and officials

  • Committee roles (admin, finance, governance)

  • Fundraising and events support

  • Welfare and safeguarding support roles

  • Media, website, and communications assistance

Some roles are occasional and flexible. Others suit those who enjoy structure and responsibility. We’ll help you find something that fits your time and interests.

Training & Development

If you’d like to develop further, we can guide you towards recognised courses and qualifications through Scottish Swimming and other governing bodies. These include:

  • Poolside helper training

  • Swim teaching qualifications

  • Coaching pathways (Level 1, Level 2 and beyond)

  • Team manager and official training

  • Safeguarding & PVG certification

Many of our current coaches and committee members started as parents on poolside. If you’re interested in taking that step, we’ll support you.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering at InCAS means:

  • Supporting your child and their teammates

  • Learning new skills

  • Becoming part of a supportive club community

  • Helping shape the future of the club

Quite simply — the club cannot run without volunteers.

If you’d like to get involved, speak to a coach poolside or email info@swim-incas.org and we’ll arrange an informal chat about how you can help.
